The Cambridge Art Book 'the city through the eyes of its artists' was the first book in the 'City Art Book Series'. Published by UIT Books in 201, it brought together over 50 artists to show the city through their eyes with over 120 unique and vibrant images.

The idea behind the book series is Cambridge artist and Editor Emma Bennett. Artists are invited to submit images free for consideration with a final selection being chosen by a panel of local art and city experts.

Following the success The Cambridge Art Book the invitation went out to Oxfordshire based artists to submit images with an amazing 96 artists sending in an astounding 500 images. The chosen images by 65 artists will be brought together in The Oxford Art Book to be launched in its home city in September 2018. (With an amazing foreword written by world-renowned pottery designer, global brand creator and Oxfordshire local Emma Bridgewater)

The City Art Books, apart from being things of beauty are a great opportunity for artists of all ages to have their work in print and to gain the artistic exposure this can bring.

The Edinburgh Art Book will be the third in the series and we are delighted to invite artists with a connection/who have found inspiration in the city of Edinburgh to submit images free for consideration. The submission process is quick, easy and free.

"Oxford may well be the most consciously beautiful city in Europe, and I get a daily kick out of wandering round its streets.  It’s a brilliant idea to let today’s artists show us the grand sights - and the intimate ones as well" John Simpson
